Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 6, 2026

BCS Mobile Notary (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile notary public service based in Bryan–College Station, Texas. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you contact us by phone, text message (SMS), email, or through our website at bcsnotary.com, and how we use and protect it.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you give us, such as your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Appointment details, such as the type of document, preferred date and time, and meeting location.
  • Message content of texts, calls, and emails you send us.
  • Identification you present at an appointment, as required by Texas law to complete a notarization (for example, the details we record in our notary journal).

We do not use advertising trackers or sell any data. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your questions, quote prices, and schedule, confirm, or update your appointment.
  • To perform notarial services and keep the records Texas law requires.
  • To provide customer support and handle billing.

Text messaging (SMS)

You can text our business number, (979) 701-2198, at any time. We only send text messages in reply to a conversation you start. By texting us first, you consent to receive replies from us about your inquiry and appointment — for example, answers to your questions, price quotes, scheduling, and appointment confirmations or updates. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we will not add you to any list.

  • Message frequency varies based on your conversation with us.
  • Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s plan.
  • Opt out at any time by replying STOP. You will receive one message confirming you’ve been unsubscribed, and we will not text you again unless you text us again.
  • Help: reply HELP, call (979) 701-2198, or email hello@bcsnotary.com.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf (described below).

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers that help us operate, solely to provide services to us — such as our phone and text messaging provider (Twilio), our website form provider (Formspree), our email provider, and our web host. They may not use your information for their own marketing.
  • When required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, court order, or a request to inspect notary records under Texas law.
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of you, us, or others.

How long we keep information

We keep messages and appointment details only as long as needed to serve you and run our business. Notary journal entries are kept for the period required by Texas law.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to stop text messages at any time.
  • Contact us to ask what information we have about you, or to correct or delete it (except records we are legally required to keep).

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
